I felt I needed to post something today after all the amazing things that have recently happened to me. Where to start...
Ok fusion was fantastic sunday. Even more fantastic than usual. I got to be out in the crowd this week which is nice from time to time. It was the second week in our fruity series, about Joy. The worship setlist included two of my favorite songs and its almost impossible to not feel Joy for you when you listen to Joy by the newsboys.
In other news, AM service practice was slightly interupted when my Dad informed me that a nice old man gave me a free car... No im serious. Red Nissan Altima. Its a stick shift. Now, whos gonna teach me how to drive stick...
Did you know that the bear beats the man, the man beats the gun, and the gun beats the bear?... No me neither...

Local Natives
How do you like the new design? I always did suck with choosing colors. That will always be the wifeys job(whenever aforementioned wifey is acquired...)
Um.
So im going to 'drivers edge' this weekend. Its this class you go to where you can drive sports cars, have a proffesional teach you how to drift, and do donuts for free. Its supposed to teach you how to do it in a controlled environment so you dont... Um... dont... Im not clear on that actually, but who cares.
Ive listened to the new Local Natives album about 3 times now and I cant stop. Its so good. Its called 'Gorilla Manor' named after the place they recorded in which is a copy-cat of a fad thats been going lately (Grizzly Bears album Yellow House?). Its pure indie goodness. The Audible equivalent of seeing a rainbow after a thunderstorm.

Madhouse
The house is crazy this week. Im sick, Mom is sick, Jinje is sick, Leena is sick, Aunt Lisa is comming down with it and Ive made 3 trips to CVS for nyquil...
Plumbing is STILL broken and it could cost 6 grand to fix. Im spending all of my last paycheck on meds.
I did, however, manage to get a shower =)
Yay shower!
Wish me luck for work tomorrow. I need to to get back to civilization. I miss my friends =(

Nyquil Ranting... And FFXIII...
So here I am at 1:45 AM, on my bed, in my PJs, sick, hopped up on nyquil, and writting a blog post! So far Ive missed 2 days of work and it doesnt show signs of letting up... I hate being sick.
In other news, I purchased Final Fantasy XIII, which I firmly believe to be one of the best in the series next to VII and X. Thanks to my sick time off, ive racked up a clean 10 hours of play so im still at the wee beginnings of this epic masterpiece, but I just feel that the best is to come... And theres a funny black guy with a chocobo living in his afro... Yeah...
Hmm. What else... Oh yeah! My plumbing is broken, and I feel reaaaally dirty. Cant shower... Im also trying to see how many times I can squeeze in the Triple dot(...) without it being overly annoying... Legit Right?

New music musings.
Yeahhh... ITs been a little while since my last update. So whats up guys?
Its been an epic few weeks in music sporting new Jaga Jazzist, Efterklang, and Eluvium! If your following the stylings of young matthew robert cooper aka Eluvium, he has 3 amazing full length ambient albums. In the ambient business, I can pretty much say he has exhausted all sources of inspiration but His new album, 'similies' sports The national-esque vocals. Its a step in a whole new direction for Elvium, but it works and I wish him the best.
Jaga jazzist still has their eeeepic spastic chihuahua Drum lines and their classic woodwind sound and still have their jazzy-esque(Yeah I like adding esque to words...) style mixed with Kraut-Gaze-Pop-Dance-House. Always teetering on the edge of nine trillion different genres. Song composition is good, but 'What We Must' still has my heart as best album from this band.
Im also listening to Beach house, and Grizzly bear among others.
