This year for thanksgiving (oh shutup. I gotta do at least a little reflecting...(yes im arguing with my own brain...(Thats low...)yeah)shutup brain!).... Im thankful for great music, a wonderful girlfriend, crazy friends and my amazing family who never ceases to amaze me. Insomnia rant...-sigh-

Well the gf is sick and i would probably die of boredom and loneliness if it werent for dan... And girls... Yeah the band 'girls' just put out a reaaaally great new album of cheesy oldy sounding love songs that sound soooo great! Opening track sounds like a 50s diner dance number complete with the cast of grease! Its pretty intense. Also KiD CuDi has a new album out called... get this. ready?

Wooooow thats a terrible name for an album. What is that like mr roger? anyway. Its super emo. Its the linkin park of rap music. I havent listened to it all the way through yet but im diggin the song 'maniac' if not just for the sample of one of my fav girl singer/songwritters 'St Vincent'. It gets points off for having mary j blidge in 2 different songs. ew. 

Also remind me to get the new Radio Dept album... And the new deerhunter album... Im reluctant to get them and have no motivation to do so because both of thier last albums were so amazing and I dont want to be dissapointed... Specially radio dept. Their last album is one of my favorite albums ever with 'heavens on fire' and 'domestic scene'...

If your wondering, when I cant sleep, I go to music. Thats why I know a trillion and one bands and have very picky taste in music. Insomnia rears up every once in a while and bam! my music library triples lol... i hate insomnia.... Its like 4 in the freakin morning... Im tired but my brain is like camptown freakin races right now. I cant seem to get my brain to relax. Im hoping that by typing this up, itll empty out my brain so i can sleep. Im praying for you alyssa! I hope you get better soon so we can hang out! Me, henry, lily and kila miss you!!! They didnt have a prayer request thing tonight since we did a party but I told a few people you were sick so you would get prayed for by more people! More people praying is supposed to make you better faster I think... Im not sure... Maybe not. Depends on the people praying maybe? Oh wait! Depends on God actually. Yep. Anyways! I was wanting to know if you wanted me to drive over my jacket so you can keep warm! :) Im also well aware of the fact that I will never get it back but I can always borrow one of jinjes or something. I dont think your parents will care if you are wearing a jacket twice as big as you lol so let me know tomorrow when you wake up and I will totally drive it over! I got it washed and dryed and im gonna wear it tomorrow to smell it up :) Ok goodnight now. And if you read that, and your name isnt alyssa baker, you have waaaaay too much free time. Im not doing so well at the moment. I feel weird.

You know like when you have to write something or draw something or play something, but you just cant? You have ideas and even motivation but for some reason you just cant seem to do it...

Thats what im feeling right now.

I feel like next time I sit down alone in the studio, pure magic will flow out. Like a sink full of water is overflowing and you just have to yank the plug to get things moving... Unfortunately I cant do that right now. I havent written anything usable in a looooong time and its killing me slowly...

Heres what I need to do soon. Step one, get a drum set and get it setup in the studio. Step two, carry over all my guitar stuff into the studio. Step three, lock myself in there for a week.

Im serious as bloody death right now. Im mulling over taking a vacation week or something so I can do this.
