Ok so... Synesthesia. I usually ignore it. It isnt a cool thing to me most of the time. But today, I projected. I will now do a quick search on google for an explanation from someone who knows what they are talking about... brb...
Well that was a big waste of time. Ill give it a go: Theres two camps. I consider myself in the 'associator' camp. Its when you know that its there. In my case, I spend time around you, and I know what colour you are in my mind. Its that easy. Now the other camp is projectors. They see colours projected in their actual vision. Grapheme synesthetes see colours over every letter like a rainbow. Now the camps arent mutualy exclusive. Some associators project occasionaly.
Now that you have a vague idea, ill get to mah point. I project every once in a while, ie: blue moon. More like never-ish, actually. Its been a while. I did today though. It surprised the crap out of me! Alyssa was in mid-conversation about spiders, and she was waving her hands around demonstrating what she was saying and it was like WOA! I SAW IT! I was like -Wave your hand a little bit... O_O... It was soooo awesome! Wherever her hand moved, it left this huuge trail of light blue. After I left the car, I noticed I was leaving streaks of gold everywhere so I stared at my hands for a while... Yeah...
I used to project when I was younger. Alot younger. I remember staring at my hands when I couldnt sleep because they left long trails. It usually happens late at night or maybe when im tired. I used to think it happened in times of severe emotional overload like anger/depression because it happened a few times in the 'dark days'$. Bleh... But maybe not, today wasnt particularly emotional for me in comparison to other days this week/month. But who knows, maybe its like 'when the planets align' thing and all the factors have to be there. I know emotion plays a role in it, but to what extent, no idea... Thats about it then. Thats what I know. I went through a phase where I was really into it and tried tests to see if I had any other syns because its rare to have one isolated minor syn without having one of the major (freaking awesome) ones like sound or grapheme. But yeah. Thats it. Thanks Alyssa.
